World Jam Workshop: Show Your True Colours
In the workshop you’ll be introduced to ways to educate yourself, build your self esteem, open minds and embrace culture and cultural difference.
The workshop will be hosted in English, but we invite you to write in any language.

Us Versus Virus Book Launch, featuring Dominic Berry and ‘Foreign Accent’
Dominic Berry is an award-winning poet. He was 2017 Glastonbury Festival Poet in Residence, winner of the 2020 and 2017 Saboteur ‘Best Spoken Word Artist’ award, and has toured his verse across USA, Canada, India, New Zealand, Australia, South America and Europe.
Foreign Accent is an eclectic and unique prog-rock band based in Nottingham. They play originals with a very unique sound, combined with an extraordinary music style. The psychedelic prog-rock with folk elements takes you through a journey in space and time.

Come and join us for an outdoor writing workshop all about Malaysian fairy tales. Learn about the history of the form, how they are written, try to write a pantun and lots more.

World Jam Workshop: Poetry Picnic
Come and join us for a poetry picnic at Wollaton Park. This will be an informal and uplifting writing workshop, where the only goal is to have fun playing with poetry in the sunshine. Because it will be dry and sunny.
There will be some games, some writing, some sharing, a positive pantry of poetic shenanigans.

World Jam Workshop: Looking to the Future
A multilingual poetry writing workshop about our hopes and future plans.
We welcome speakers of all languages to attend the workshop. You can write in any language you want.
The workshop will be hosted by multi award-winning poet, Panya Banjoko. Her poems feature in numerous anthologies including award-winning Clever Girls winner of the Working-Class Studies Association’s “Jake Ryan and Charles Sackrey Award for a Book about the Working-Class Academic Experience.” Her forthcoming collection is due in June 2022.
Panya co-ordinates a Black Writers Network, and is patron for Nottingham UNESCO City of Literature.

Us Versus Virus is a collection of 40 poems and illustrations from 27 poets and artists, an anthology of poetry that explores the human experience of the Coronavirus pandemic from different perspectives.
Composed of observations, questions and stories of heartache and resilience, the poems offer words of kindness, hope and love.
Us Versus Virus acts as a map to help us navigate our emotions and responses to this extraordinary event.
